Life Story Of The New AIIMS Director – Dr. Srinivas, Will Alter How You Feel About Success & Schooling

Hard work is the only path to the destination of dreams and this is proven by M. Srinivas who got appointed as the new AIIMS director by replacing Dr Randeep Guleria. This 56-year-old doctor from Karnataka has proven that if you work hard and silently stay focused on your goal, nothing can stop you from being a success.

Mr Srinivas was appointed AIIMS director on 9th September 2022 for a term of five years, or until he becomes 65 as per the directive presented by the Government of India Under Secretary for Health and Family Welfare.

The story of Dr Srinivas is more or less a very common story – a boy did his share of hard work and found success but there is more to it, his story is a plot twist to many people.

Most of us are running away from our native languages, we are leaving our roots behind, kids of the new generation communicate only in English, and writing and reading Hindi is difficult for them, forget the native language. But the new AIIMS director did his education in Kannada and is today heading the highest position at All India Institutes of Medical Sciences.
Journey Of Our New AIIMS Director

The journey of becoming AIIMS director was not a doodle, it demanded great dedication and effort. He started his journey as a young boy with dreams who was ready to achieve all the success in the world.

The new AIIMS director as a child wanted to become a civil servant but he gradually developed an inclination toward medicine.

Dr Srinivas a native of Gandhi Nagar of Yadgir a city in Karnataka was born on August 11th, 1966, to Saroja and Ashappa. He finished his elementary, and high school at New Kannada Government High School and also completed his pre-university course education in the city of Yadgir in Kannada medium Before migrating to Ballari to pursue his MBBS.

It was Dr Srinivas’s father a former tahsildar who insisted on sending him to a government school and studying in Kannada since he always thought it would help Dr Shrinivas and his siblings in growing as rooted human beings. He was particularly focused on working on his kids and wanted his boys should not be any less than the kids studying in private schools using the CBSE or other curricula.

After earning a gold medal in his MBBS, he relocated to Davangere where he finished his MS and then earned his MCH from AIIMS in New Delhi. Hereafter, he was hired as a professor in the pediatric surgery department’s special expert section. His long haul and disciplined attitude lead him to the ESIC, Medical College and Hospital in Hyderabad, where he became the Dean.

As per the Department of Health and Family Welfare, he made notable modifications at ESIC, Hyderabad. The ESIC improved during his leadership, and all the changes and improvements performed under his leadership were evident to all.

Yadgir district, where Dr Shrinivas was born was widely regarded as one of the educationally disadvantaged districts in the Kalyan Karnataka area due to its disappointing scores in the SSLC and PUC examinations. However, Dr Srinivas’ outstanding success has brought honour to the district and will serve as motivation for other students. Dr Srinivas’s rise is an attestation to the fact that diligence is the only superpower one need to succeed in life.
